About Joseph
Dr. Joseph Folz, D.O. has been a dedicated and compassionate member of the Commonwealth Pain & Spine team since 2019. His journey in medicine began at Indiana University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
Continuing his academic pursuit, Dr. Folz obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he embraced osteopathic principles and a comprehensive approach to patient care. Dr. Folz's commitment to anesthesia and pain management led him to complete his residency in Anesthesiology at the Saint Louis University Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care.
Further specializing in pain medicine, Dr. Folz pursued fellowship training at the University of Colorado Departments of Anesthesiology and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, where he developed expertise in addressing complex pain conditions with precision and compassion.
Dr. Folz is a proud member of professional societies such as the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and the American Society of Anesthesiologists, where he remains dedicated to advancing the field of pain management through education, research, and collaboration.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Folz has contributed to pain management research and has presented posters at various conferences.
