About Brendon
Dr. Brendon Coughtry, M.D. is a compassionate physician at Commonwealth Pain & Spine with a commitment to advancing the field of pain management. He has been with the practice since 2018. Dr. Coughtry's career in medicine began at the University of Georgia, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating magna cum laude.
Dr. Coughtry obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia, where he demonstrated a commitment to academic achievement and a desire to serve others through medicine. Following his medical degree, Dr. Coughtry completed his internship and anesthesia residency at the University of Louisville.
Driven by a passion for addressing pain and improving patient outcomes, he pursued further specialization through a pain fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Coughtry's dedication to advancing medical knowledge extends beyond clinical practice, as evidenced by his research experience. He spent two months living in Nepal to study the prevention of acute mountain sickness.
