Headache & Migraine Treatment

Personalized Pain Relief for Chronic Headaches

Living with chronic headaches and migraines can be debilitating, affecting both physical and emotional well-being. The interventional pain specialists and dual-board certified physicians at Commonwealth Pain & Spine provide in-office Botox® injections and medication management to help you find relief from the pain and symptoms associated with these conditions.

Who is a Candidate for Headache & Migraine Treatment?

Headaches and migraines can stem from physical, emotional, or environmental issues affecting brain chemicals and nerve communication. While anyone can suffer from them, certain risk factors may increase the likelihood, including:

  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Low blood sugar
  • Hormone changes
  • Lack of quality sleep
  • Use of caffeine and alcohol

If you suffer from chronic migraine headaches 15 or more days a month and can’t seem to find relief, let Commonwealth Pain & Spine help you find a personalized treatment plan that works for you.

Finding Relief from Chronic Headache & Migraine Pain

Whether you’ve been suffering from headaches and migraines for a short time or many years, our team of pain specialists at Commonwealth Pain & Spine are ready to help you find relief. Some of the treatments we may suggest include:

  • Medications: Over-the-counter or prescription medications to reduce the severity and frequency of head pain.
  • Botox Injections: Botox, a purified form of the botulinum toxin, targets specific muscles and some nerve endings in the head and neck, which may be involved in migraine pain.

Pinpointing the cause and best course of treatment for head pain can be frustrating. We offer a range of diagnostic and treatment options to help you find relief.

How We Can Help with Your Headaches & Migraines

Start your journey to relief by completing our online self-referral form. Our team will review it and work with your PCP for a referral. We'll then reach out to schedule your first consultation to get started!

Here's what you can expect when you seek treatment at our practice:

  1. Consultation: During your first visit, our physicians will conduct a thorough assessment of your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle. We may order diagnostic tests to rule out other potential causes of your pain and better understand your condition.
  2. Personalized Treatment Plan: We'll create a personalized treatment plan that may include medications to manage pain and prevent future episodes or alternative treatments like Botox injections.
  3. Treatment Sessions: If Botox injections are part of your treatment plan, you'll return to our office for fast, in-office treatments. We'll apply a topical numbing cream to ensure your comfort during the injections. You can return to your usual activities immediately after treatment without limitations.
  4. Follow-Up Injections: Depending on your needs, you may require several Botox treatments before seeing optimal results. Once the full benefits of therapy take effect, a single Botox injection can provide 10-12 weeks of migraine relief and reduce the frequency of headache pain by up to 50%.

We'll schedule regular follow-up appointments to monitor your progress and adjust your treatment plan, ensuring long-term relief and a better quality of life! Commonwealth Pain & Spine wants to be your partner for better living.
